POROFOL ® 0546 consists of highly absorbent mica paper based on uncalcined muscovite and PET-film as a carrier.  The mica paper in addition is covered with a thin PET-fleece.  The binder is a hardener-free epoxy resin.  In spite of the PET-film a great number of layers can be impregnated due to the high porosity of the mica paper and the low binder-content,  The PET-fleece prevents a splitting off mica particles during taping process.

Applications

POROFOL ® 0546 is excellent suitable for continuous insulation as well as overhang parts of coils and bars for medium and high voltage motors and generators if vacuum impregnation process used.
