NOMEX® TYPE 418 AND 419
NOMEX® Type 418 is designed for high-voltage applications, including motor conductor and coil wrap, transformer ground and layer insulation. It is a calendered product with high inherent dielectric strength (30 to 40 kV/mm), which can be readily impregnated with varnishes where this is desirable. NOMEX® Type 418 is available in 5 thicknesses, from 0.08 to 0.36 mm (3 to 14 mil). This calendered blend of aramid and mica offers increased voltage endurance over NOMEX® Type 410 when subjected to corona attack. NOMEX® Type 419 is the uncalendered precursor of NOMEX® Type 418, and is available in two thicknesses, 0.18 and 0.33 mm (7 and 13 mil). NOMEX® Type 419 is used in applications which take advantage of the lower density (0.5) which allows improved conformability and saturability
POROFOL ® 4002
POROFOL ® 4002 consists of highly absorbent mica paper based on uncalcined muscovite and PET-film as a hardener free epoxy resin.
POROFOL ® 4002 is a flexible tape suitable for hand and machine taping. In spite of the PET-film a great number of layers can be impregnated in a short time due to the high porosity of the mica paper. Mechanical and electrical properties of the final insulation mostly depend on the impregnating resin used.
POROFOL ® 4002 is used in VPI-systems for continuous insulation of coils and bars of low and high voltage machines a well as for interlayer insulation in dry type transformers.

Isonel® 31 SA
Isonel® 31 SA is a solvent based isophthalic modified varnish, which has an excellent long-term tank stability. The cured product gives a tough/resilient film with an excellent chemical and moisture resistance. Isonel® 31 SA has a thermal class of 180°C and exhibits compatibility with most types of insulation products and systems. It is ideally suited for processing of transformers, especially where a clean drain characteristic and fast cure is required as well as the impregnation of small stators and coils where flexibility of connection leads has to be maintained. It is designed for use in applications where also high bond strength and good moisture and chemical resistance is required. Polymerization is initiated by the effect of heat and proceeds as a rapid chain-reaction until a three dimensionally cross linked, duro plastic cured material is produced. The product fulfils the directive 2011/65/UE e 2002/95/CE (RoHS). The raw materials of the product are pre-registered according to directive to CE 1907/2006 and s.m.i. (REACH). The product does not contain polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and substances listed in the SVHC Candidate List.
