NOMEX® TYPE 410
NOMEX® Type 410 is a calendered insulation paper which offers high inherent dielectric strength, mechanical toughness, flexibility and resilience. NOMEX® Type 410 is the original form of NOMEX® paper, and is widely used in a
majority of electrical equipment applications. Available in 12 thicknesses (0.05 to 0.76 mm) (2 to 30 mil), NOMEX® Type 410 is used in almost every known electrical insulation application.

TF Probe ™
Iris power’s TF Probe™ (Total Flux is specifically designed to measure the total air gap flux and detect shorted turns in salient pole motors, hydro generators, and in turbine generators. The probe when connected to the portable RFA-II™ instrument, allows the user to monitor the health of the generator field winding on-line, and continuously.
The TF Probe is a small, flexible, printed circuit board which is affixed to a stator tooth with epoxy – no drilling or wedges, or fragile components intruding into the air-gap. In many machine designs, it is even possible to install the probe without removing the rotor – a definite advantage in retro-fit applications.
An optional hermetically sealed single penetration feed through is available for hydrogen cooled machines.
DuPont™ Kapton® 150FWR019 is a heat fusible polyimide-FEP fluoropolymer composite film that has a unique balance of excellent electrical, thermal durability, and chemical resistance properties. The properties of 150FWR019 will provide a tough, high dielectric strength insulation with significantly improved hydrolysis resistance compared to other commonly used polyimide materials.
